Our Mission is to empower people with bladder and bowel dysfunction to engage in opportunities of their choice in a supported and inclusive way.

 

Provide people with an individual assessment of their bladder and bowel dysfunction within their own home or via telehealth.

In collaboration with you and your carers, we will provide best practice options for treatment, management, and containment of your incontinence.

ABOUT SUE

Sue is a Registered Nurse with in excess of 30 years of experience in the continence assessment and management area. She is empathic and has great insight into the struggles of those suffering from continence issues. She has had experience in developing and managing the Continence Service at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne where she worked for over 20 years.

Her more recent role was in management at the National Continence Helpline. Included in this role was active involvement in various projects with the Continence Foundation of Australia; projects included webinars relating to continence management in aged care, special needs children and children within the school environment.

Her extensive experience and continence product knowledge are enhanced by her Post Graduate Certification in Gerontology, Post Graduate Certification in Continence and Post Graduate Diploma in Urology and Continence Nursing.

SERVICES

Continence Nurses Australia is a Continence Assessment and Management Service for people of all ages, cultural, linguistic diverse backgrounds, and beliefs.

 

We work with you and the important people in your life, to develop individual bladder and bowel management programs. This may include catheter management, education for your family and paid carers on your incontinence management, and prescription of your incontinence products to contain your incontinence that is both effective and cost-efficient. 

Services can be at your home or via Telehealth.

 

Continence Nurses Australia provide services to:

  • Private clients

  • TAC recipients

  • NDIS participants can service self-managed and planned-managed clients (Currently applying for certified NDIS registration for high-intensity community nursing and community nursing Registered Nurse Consultant)

  • Aged care clients living in their own home and are on a My Aged Care Home Support Package, level 3, and level 4.

  • Workcover Assessments

 

Continence Nurses Australia is a fee-for-service organisation and there are no Medicare rebates available.

  • TAC recipients and NDIS participants are charged as per the legislated rate for a Community Registered Nurse Consultant.

  • All other clients please contact the service for a list of prices.

  • If the person is further than 10 km from Doreen, Victoria, there may be travel costs involved.
